Tour Dates: 14 Days in Simpson Desert, 3rd to 16th October; 12 Days in Flinders Ranges, 17th to 28th October. (Total 26 Days)
For the first time in 2011 we will be doing our Flinders Rangers Tour in two sections so this will give you the opportunity to do the whole tour or you may choose to do only one section of it.
The first section will be the return of an old favorite crossing the Simpson and Back.
We will commence this tour in Charleville and travel out to Birdsville via Adavale and Windorah. From Birdsville we start our Desert crossing with a visit to Big Red and then continuing on to Poppels corner. We then continue onto the challenge of the French Line into Dalhousie Springs.
After our refreshing stop at the springs it is down for a night under the stars at the Painted Desert. From here it is onto Coober Pedy via the Break-a ways.
On our return journey into the Desert we will visit William Creek and then travel the Oodnadatta Track to Mt Dare.
Once refueled in Mt Dare we will travel back into the Desert via the Rig Road joining up to the Warburton Track and down to the Warburton Crossing.
Once we join up with the Birdsville track we will take the inside track back into Birdsville.
Leaving Birdsville we will travel to Innamincka via Cordilla Downs.
