Tour Dates: 10th August to 2nd September 2011 (28 Days)
This is an exciting new tour for Mangali as we retrace some of the Len Beadell Tracks into the Pilbara and then back into the Central Deserts.
Starting in Boulia we will travel the Plenty Highway to Alice Springs and then out to Uluru
and then travelling the Tjukaruru Road out to the W.A. border. Once we cross the border we will join up with the Great Central Road to Warburton where we then join up with the Heather Highway. Once we have completed this section of the highway we join up with the Gunbarrel Highway for a journey to Carnegie and Wiluna.
After our visit to Wiluna we start our Canning section of the tour and travel form the start of the stock route up to well 23. From well 23 we take the Talawana Track into Newman.
After Newman our next section of the tour will lead us down to Meekatharra and our visit over to Mt Augustus. From here it is then onto Paraduroo and Tom Price before our visit out to Karigini National Park.
The next leg of the tour takes us back to Newman and then onto Nullagine and Marble Bar. We leave Marble Bar and make our way over the Telfer Mine Road to our camp at well 33 on the C.S.R. Leaving the Canning we travel the Garry Junction Road and make our way to Alice Springs via the Macdonnell Ranges.
On our last few days of the tour we will leave Alice and travel the East Macdonnell Ranges joining up with the cattleman’s track and then back onto the Plenty Highway once again for our finish back in Boluia.
