Tour Dates: 4th April to 2nd May 2011 (28 Days)
Take a journey with us as we travel into the south west corner of W.A. and return home via the breath taking Eyre Peninsula.
Starting in Alice Springs, we commence our journey by travelling from the Alice out to Uluru and then travelling the Tjukaruru Road out to the W.A. border. Once we cross the border we will join up with the Great Central Road to Leonora for our journey through the gold fields. On this leg of the tour we will visit Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie on our way to Northam. From here it is down to Mandurah and the start of our south western adventure.
For the next week or so we will visit the internationally famous wine area of the Margaret River, travel through the rolling hills of the Collie River jarrah forests, take in the sites of the Blackwood River Valley and visit the karri forest around Manjimup and Pemberton. Of course a drive over the Yeagerup Dunes will be one not to be missed. Next we will explore the valley of the Giants and walk above the tree tops as we explore the ancient empire walk. We will also visit Albany and the Torvdirrup and Fitzgerald River National Parks on our way to Ravensthorpe and Esperance.
From Esperance we will follow the coast to Pt Dempster and then join up with the Eyre Highway as we make our way to Eucla and into South Australia and the next exciting part of our journey. Once in South Australia we leave the highway at Ceduna as we follow the coast line to Streaky Bay, Elliston, Port Lincoln, Tumby Bay and Whyalla before reaching our final destination at Port Augusta.
As you can see this is a great adventure and one that will offer pretty spectacular scenery and promises to be one of the highlights for our 2011 tours.
