Tour Date: 4th July 2010 (1 Day)
Want to get away quickly from the stresses of city life?
Join us on a one-day 4WD excursion through the beautiful D’Aguilar Range on Brisbane’s north-western doorstep.
We will explore the Byron State Forest (Mt Mee) with its eucalypt forests and saw-milling history. Some of the higher vantage points offer expansive views of the Brisbane Valley to the west including Somerset and Wivenhoe Dams, and the coastal plain beside Moreton Bay to the east.
Originally settled in 1874, the Mt Mee and Mt Pleasant areas have been a rich source of timber (both soft and hard woods), dairying, bananas, and more recently, commuters and retirees. This area has abundant bird and animal life. It enjoys a comfortable climate and usually higher rainfall than the city area.
If you want a short break from the rat-race, come with us to rejuvenate the soul. Get back in touch with nature and enjoy the peace and solitude of the Australian bush.
This tour is suitable for all-wheel-drives.
Cost: $95 per Vehicle for the Day
