This journey is designed to show you some of the magic that this part of Western Australia has to offer.
Beginning in the Western Queensland town of Camooweal, we travel into the Northern Territory along the Barkley Highway and the Stuart Highway before meeting up with the Buchanan Highway into Halls Creek and then onto Fitzroy Crossing in Western Australia and the start of our Kimberley adventure.
The first of our Kimberley experiences will be a cruise up the famous Geikie Gorge before making our way over to Broome.
After a two night stop over in Broome and of course a visit to Cable Beach we will then make our way to Middle Lagoon and Cape Leveque before visiting Derby where we have the opportunity to visit the Horizontal Waterfall and King Sound, part of the picturesque and remote Buccaneer Archipelago.
From Derby we then start our journey up the Gibb River Road, on this section of our journey we will visit Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek, Bell Gorge, stay two nights at Old Mornington Camp visiting Dimond and Sir John Gorges before our next stop at Mt Barnett and a visit to Manning Gorge before starting our trek up to the Mitchell Plateau.
Our three night stay at Mitchell Plateau promises to be a great adventure as we swim in the King Edward River, visit Kalumburu and of course a visit to the magnificent Mitchell Falls and the Surveyors Pool.
Leaving the Plateau we then continue onto El Questro for our stay at the jewel of the Kimberley. While at El Questro we will visit Chamberlain and Emma Gorges before following the Pentecost Range into Diggers Rest. From here it is onto Wyndham, and Kununurra for another three night stay where you may get the chance to catch that dreamed of “Barramundi” as well as a visit to Lake Argyle.
From Kununurra its then onto the Bungle Bungles for another two night stay before starting our trip home.
On our return journey we will visit Wolf Creek Crater, travel the Tanami Track before joining up with the Plenty Highway for our final destination at Boulia.
