Tour Date: 20th June 2010
Cannon Creek starts near Boonah, flows through Kooralbyn, and empties into the Logan River near Laravale.
For this tour we will spend most of the day on private property on one of the tributaries of Cannon Creek. The property is used for cattle grazing and as a quiet bush retreat for the owner. The hilly terrain supports vegetation ranging from heavily timbered bush to open grass land.
This is a tour for those looking for challenging 4wding. The numerous tracks are little used and overgrown. After recent rain, the tracks have been left scoured and rocky, providing good serious, off road 4wding.
It is recommended that participants only use vehicles with raised suspensions, recovery point’s front and rear, and tyres that can be run on low pressures in rocky terrain. Participants should wear rugged bush clothing including enclosed footwear and a hat as some time will be spent out of the vehicle. You should also carry leather gloves, a snatch strap and 2 bow shackles as minimum recovery equipment.
If you want to test yourself and your vehicle, this is the tour for you.
Cost: $120 per Vehicle for the Day
