Tour Dates: 1st to 6th April 2010 (6 Days)
This Easter we will be taking a journey into the New England Ranges, visiting West Kungerang and also travelling to the birth place of the legendary Slim Dusty.
We will commence our trip at Beaudesert and then travel to Dorrigo., After a visit to the Falls and the Sky Walk it’s onto the Ebor Fall and then a visit to the Trout Farm.
On the next part of our journey through the Wilderness area of the New England National Park we will explore the remains of the Beech Tree Forest at Look-out Point before continuing on to our next two nights at West Kunderang.
West Kunderang is a beautiful property which enables us to take advantage of some great fishing, bushwalking and a 4wd track up over the property. If this sounds like your kind of Easter then why not just sit back relax and take in the beauty and tranquility of the Australian country-side.
From West Kungerang we will make our way down to Taylors Arm for a visit to Slim Dusty” Pub with no Beer” before embarking on the next section of the tour.
We will make our way down to the little town of Bellbrook then as we say goodbye to Bellbrook, our drive takes us across the Macleay River, then following Mackenzie Creek into the picturesque Oxley and Willi Willi National Park.
We leave the Oxley area and start our homeward journey. Our first stop for the day will be a visit to the lovely Tia Falls, from this set of falls we drive the short distance down the Highway to the breathtaking Aspley Falls into the tiny town of Walcha. Leaving the township we take a diversion into the cemetery to visit the grave of one of Australia’s best known cattleman “Nat Buckingham”.
We will then travel to Armidale where sadly our tour must end.
